'Mana

'Mana.

Short for hermana.  Kinda like the Spanish version of "sissy."

Thanks to some encouragement from his Mexican relatives, its been Job's pet name for his sister almost from the very beginning.

Its hard to remember life pre-'Mana.

She is loved and cherished by all.  Especially her brother.

What seems like ages ago....

{Just after midnight on January 28th, 2014.  Our first time in the good ol' U.S. of A as a family of four- Rafa's first time ever and Maya's first time outside the womb.}

My how blessed we are!

The story is long, full of God's unending faithfulness, and includes lots of tears- the joyful kind, the hurt kind, and the overwhelming loved kind.  The whole story may never be written here.  We are in my passport country for awhile.  Our dreams are big--eternally big.  But we know God often leads where we could never imagine, and His plans are always bigger than our dreams.

May I begin to share our story again with you?

After a break, usually not purposeful, in blogging, I struggle to start again because its been such a long time.  It embarrasses me. So I put it off even more.  Forgive me?  I have learned better than to make promises concerning this corner of the web, but Lord willing, new words and a few pictures will be seen here more consistently.  God's blessings, dear friends!

Everlasting Arms.

  1. What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms;
    What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms.
    • Refrain:
      Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms;
      Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.
  2. Oh, how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms;
    Oh, how bright the path grows from day to day,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms.
  3. What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms?
    I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
    Leaning on the everlasting arms.
